Vidya Malvade

Vidya Malvade (Marathi: is an Indian actress, mainly working in the Bollywood film industry.She studied Law and worked as an air hostess.[1] Her husband, Capt. Arvind Singh Bagga was working as a pilot with Alliance Air. He died in 2000 when his flight Alliance Air Flight 7412, collided with a building at Patna. In 2009 she married Sanjay Dayma. Dayma was assistant director to Ashutosh Gowariker during the filming of Lagaan

She was born in the Indian state of Maharashtra. She started her career with Vikram Bhatt's Inteha (2003), which failed at the box office. After a string of unsuccessful movies and several advertisements, she recently acted in Chak De India in the year 2007 where she plays the role of a goalkeeper cum captain of the Indian women's national hockey team. Her most recent movie is Striker (2010)
